OUR TOURS GIVE YOU THE OPPORTUNITY TO EXPLORE THE MANY ATTRACTIONS AND IDYLLIC COUNTRYSIDE OF HOLLAND
Way back in 1984 when race organiser and Auto 66 supremo Peter Hillaby arranged the first trip for a handful of Club members to the Dutch TT at Assen, little did he realise that it would be the birth of the thriving company that PMH Sport Travel is today.
Although that first trip was just a dash there and a dash back, with little time to pause for breath, everyone enjoyed it so much that, by the following year, there was sufficient demand to fill three coaches.
Word of mouth has always been the most effective means of advertising, but to make it work, the product must be exactly right. This is where PMH Sport Travel has always excelled! Every hotel is personally vetted, to ensure that both quality and value are such that clients will always want to return.
From such humble beginnings, in a very short time, race fans queued up for tours to other circuits such as Salzburg, Hockenheim, Nurburgring, Spa, Misano, Le Mans, Paul Richard, etc, etc. Sometimes as many as five or six coaches would head off for the nearby venues, but the more distant ones attracted only a hardy bunch of travellers, some of whom are still regulars to this day.
The past decade has seen tremendous changes, as bikes have become more reliable, bikers have become more adventurous. World Superbikes has also burst onto the scene, and with British riders right up there at the top of the pile, race fans from Britain have flocked to support them in their thousands, many preferring to ride there on their bikes.
As the demand for coach tours began to wane, the need for ferry space and hotel rooms for bikers shot up in dramatic fashion. Our excellent working relationship with the ferry companies and the hotel proprietors has enabled us to cater for this demand, ensuring that our regular customers can continue to enjoy hassle-free trips whenever they ride off to the races.
Our coach tours are as relaxing or as hectic as you want to make them. All our hotels have superb restaurants and bars, and many have sports facilities and swimming pools, for those who prefer the laid-back lifestyle. Alternatively, if you like a bit of action in the evenings, on the tours to Holland we take you into either Assen or Groningen where you will have no trouble finding ways to let your hair down. Bikers can also take advantage of these evening coach trips if they opt to stay in the same hotels as the coach tours.
Not everyone wants to go to the circuits on practise days. With us its not a problem! If you would prefer a lazy day exploring the hotels facilities or surroundings, thats fine by us! Fancy a days sightseeing? Come and join us well take you around the region! But, if you want to see the race teams struggling to find a set-up come with us, well take you there and back.
So come on, what are you waiting for? Join the ever-increasing number of enthusiasts who have discovered the most trouble-free route to some of the worlds most exciting races!
